In J&K, fresh rain is Expected from September 6–7
The weather is expected to improve in the coming days, according to weather forecasters on Tuesday, even though there will be light to moderate rain in some areas of Jammu & Kashmir on September 6-7.
According to a meteorological department official here, there has been significant rainfall in a few locations in Jammu and Kashmir over the past 24 hours as of 8:30 a.m. today. Kathua recorded 66.6mm, Udhampur 65.0mm, Bhaderwah 44.2mm, Bahihal 36.6mm, Jammu 36.6mm, KKatra 32.2mm, Kokernag 24.6mm, Qazigund 21.9mm, Batote 17.8mm, Pahalgam 16.5mm, Gulmarg 9.0mm, Kupwara 4.5mm, and Srinagar 2.9mm.
He gave a broad update on the weather for the next 24 hours, stating that many locations would see cloudy conditions with light to moderate rain or thundershowers through late afternoon today, with “gradual improvement thereafter.”
He stated that mostly dry weather was anticipated for Wednesday and Thursday, with sporadic showers in certain locations.
